The Role: 

This is a truly unique and exciting opportunity for a Social Media and Editorial content lead to join our Corporate Affairs team, reporting directly to the VP of Corporate Affairs. This person will become a key member of the Corporate Affairs leadership team and build and lead the organic social media and editorial content function at Vinted. You will have the exciting opportunity to define the strategy for our social media channels and execute it, along with expanding our earned impact through a strong content strategy. You will be working alongside your colleagues in PR, Corporate Communications, Public Affairs and Sustainability, and partnering closely with colleagues in our Marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute our organic social media strategy, aimed at increasing reach and earned conversation, building an audience and improving brand sentiment.
  • Play a key leadership role within the Corporate Affairs team, helping to shape overall communication strategies and initiatives through creative ideas, editorial content and translating external conversations and trends to inform business decisions. 
  • Create and curate engaging and culturally relevant content in multiple formats such as video, memes and photography for our social media channels: Instagram, Tiktok, YouTube and LinkedIn, with a view to expanding into further channels over time. As needed, create corporate content for our corporate website.
  • Work with our Executive Comms team to support Vinted’s senior executives with their social presence, focusing primarily on LinkedIn. 
  • Create and maintain a content calendar, plan organic campaigns, and identify and engage with relevant trends and online conversations through quick-turn content.
  • Work with our brand, creative, digital and influencer teams to maximize marketing campaigns through organic and earned content and amplify best performing organic content with paid. 
  • Oversee owned channels moderation, working in partnership with Customer Support teams.  
  • Produce monthly performance reports for our social media channels and campaigns. 
  • Hire and train a small team of social media managers. Build the team AI-first, to take advantage of the exciting new technologies and efficiencies emerging in this space.

About you:

  • We are accepting candidates in these locations: London (UK), Paris (FR), Berlin (DE), Amsterdam (NL) and Vilnius (LT) as the role requires some in-person time in an office.
  • You have a deep understanding of organic social media and have a proven track record with managing consumer brands. Bonus points if you have a social media following yourself. 
  • You enjoy producing content and are comfortable producing and editing high-quality, quick-turn content yourself.  Experience crafting creative assets using AI tools is a plus. 
  • You are as comfortable working at high-level developing a strategy and plans as you are being hands-on producing content and engaging with users. 
  • You have proven ability with developing and presenting campaign and channel performance reports. 
  • You possess fluency in English, either as a native speaker or with excellent proficiency in both written and verbal communication. This is essential for creating engaging content and interacting with our audience. 
  • Proficiency in any additional languages is a plus and will help in engaging with our international audience, French is preferred but not essential.
  • Comfortable stepping into a senior-level role where decision-making and subject-matter leadership are expected from day one
