We're looking for a Backend Engineer to join the VITA team – a suite of tools designed to help Vinted engineers with on-call rotations, incident management and observability. This is an opportunity to work on a modern backend stack, helping shape reliability tooling across the company.

• Design and build backend systems in Go, focusing on performance, reliability, and scalability
• Develop and optimize services that expose GraphQL APIs and interact with MySQL databases, observability systems (Thanos, Elasticsearch) and integrate with other services such as Slack, PagerDuty and Backstage
• Work with Temporal workflows to orchestrate distributed systems and background jobs
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver resilient observability and reliability tooling
• Improve architectural decisions, testing strategy, and performance of core services
• Contribute to the overall direction of backend systems powering VITA
• Work in a high-impact area influencing how engineering is done across Vinted

• Have experience in building backend services at scale
• Have experience working with SQL databases, designing and optimizing schemas and queries
• Care deeply about writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Take initiative, ownership, and enjoy solving complex system-level problems
• Have excellent communication skills in English and work well in cross-functional teams

• Experience in Go (Golang)
• Background in observability tools or infrastructure (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
• Familiarity with building engineer-focused internal tooling

The salary range for this position is €3,558 - €4,808 gross per month.
