Information about the position
As the Electronics Verification Team Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient testing and verification of smartphones, tablets, laptops, AirPods, and gaming consoles while leading a high-performing team. Based within our Technical Operations team, you will drive quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across verification processes. Reporting to the Strategic EVS Manager, you will work closely with Quality Assurance, Process Improvement, and Business Operations teams to optimise performance, manage resources effectively, and support business growth.
This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership, project ownership, and operational management. Your contributions will help improve efficiency, scalability, quality, and cost performance across the verification function.
This is an on-site position at our warehouse in Hamburg.
In this position, you’ll
- Lead, coach, and support a team of verification specialists, ensuring daily targets and quality standards are achieved.
- Conduct and oversee diagnostic and functionality testing of smartphones, tablets, laptops, AirPods, and gaming consoles.
- Ensure quick and effective troubleshooting of technical and operational issues.
- Drive continuous improvement and cost-efficiency initiatives across verification processes and shift operations.
- Own operational projects from planning through implementation, ensuring successful delivery and measurable results.
- Monitor team performance, resource utilisation, and operational costs to achieve productivity and budget targets.
- Plan, manage, and monitor temporary workforce requirements and associated costs in close cooperation with the Operations Shift Manager.
- Develop and optimise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support operational excellence and scalability.
- Analyze KPIs and operational metrics to identify opportunities for performance improvement and informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to implement process improvements and support business objectives.
About you
- Strong understanding of electronics fundamentals with hands-on experience in refurbishment, electronics testing, repair, manufacturing, or similar technical environments.
- Experience leading teams, projects, or operational improvement initiatives.
- Proven ability to manage project timelines, resources, and budgets while delivering measurable results.
- Strong knowledge of consumer electronics and common hardware and software issues.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Experience in workforce planning, cost control, and process optimisation is an advantage.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English and German.
- Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
