Vinted’s Finance team is in charge of producing transparent, high-quality financial accounts, as well as contributing towards sustainable operations and company growth.

We are looking for a Finance Data Control Analyst to join our Finance Data Control team.The ideal candidate would be a motivated and detail-oriented professional with a proactive positive attitude, ability of translating financial requirements to technical ones and vice versa to produce transparent, high-quality financial accounts, as well as contribute towards sustainable operations and rapid company growth. 

In this position, your primary responsibility will be to guarantee the reliability and accuracy of our financial data, ensure data control activities within the financial reporting framework. You will actively contribute to internal improvements, participate in projects ensuring data control processes within the financial reporting framework, while also collaborating closely with other teams to ensure financial compliance within the Group.

Financial reporting deliveries

• Prepare accurate financial reporting deliverables for internal and external stakeholders to support all Vinted Group’s business lines (Vinted Marketplace, Vinted Go, Vinted Pay)
• Prepare revenue and cost reconciliations across multiple Vinted platforms
• Conduct in-depth analysis of internal and external data, interpreting it at a transactional level
• Calculate periodic financial adjustments for accounting and reporting purposes

Data controls and data issue solvency

• Identify, assess, and mitigate data-related risks, ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial data
• Ensure financial reporting data quality, reliability and controls

Internal projects and group initiatives

• Collaborate with other Finance Control teams in implementing new projects and initiatives
• Contribute to the improvement of internal finance processes by identifying issues and implementing solutions, drive process automation and improve reports to enhance work efficiency

Collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

• Support Finance department stakeholders with various inquiries related to financial data
• Work with Data Science and Analytics teams to maintain structure of financial data and create reports for accurate and complete financial information 

• 2-3 years of experience in finance, audit, consulting or a related field
• University degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting or similar preferred
• Experience in working with large data sets and reporting 
• Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
• Understanding of accounting standards, IFRS requirements and their application
• Experience liaising with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
• Technology stack: Google Sheets or MS Excel (proficient), SQL or ETL tooling, Looker or other BI tooling (advantage)
• Excellent at communicating in spoken and written English (our business  language)
• Eagerness to learn new skills, optimize ways of working in a fast-changing environment
