We are expanding the Marketplace Security domain and looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join an established team dedicated to enabling member security in Vinted.

As a backend software engineer, you will play a key role in driving technical initiatives, building new services, developing and maintaining features. Your main aim will be preparing the product for technical challenges ahead, ensuring Vinted members feel safe on the platform, and contributing to the Vinted vision of making second-hand the first choice. • Work in a cross-functional team, contribute to team and domain-level initiatives, and shape the features to improve security for Vinted members.
• Transform large monoliths into smaller, component-based services, thereby promoting greater team autonomy.
• Work on bot account prevention and mitigation.
• Monitor and ensure the reliability of your code.
• Provide mentorship and support to engineers to foster their professional development
• See your code affect 80+ million users almost instantly.

• You have hands-on work experience in development or operations at scale. Bonus points for experience in the cybersecurity domain.
• You are driven by curiosity to explore and master new technologies and concepts.
• You are committed to writing clean, maintainable code with a focus on accuracy and quality.
• You have a strong inclination to collaborate with team members, share knowledge and foster a positive, cooperative environment.
• You are willing to take the lead in addressing issues and driving improvements, even without explicit direction.

The salary range for this position is € 3,558 - € 4,808 gross per month.
