Information about the position 

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to join one of our Product Engineering teams within Vinted Go. 

You will be joining the Milky Way team within the Shipping Network domain. The domain is taking care of building, connecting and maintaining carrier integrations across Europe, managing their PUDO Network, working on parcel tracking experience and various tooling and admins required to manage this at scale. This specific team is responsible for building domestic and cross-border integrations with various carriers and shipping service (i.e. customs, authenticity check, relabelling, etc.) providers to enable Vinted users to ship more than 1.5M items each day for the lowest price and without friction. This is a significant enabler for the growth of second hand trade that reduces the negative impact of purchasing first-hand clothing.

Your main responsibility will be the delivery, health, and efficiency of your team. And, of course, making sure your team contributes to our company vision of making second-hand fashion first choice.

In this position, you’ll 

  • Work in a team to shape features that make our members’ lives better
  • Ensure team’s delivery of technology according to the roadmap
  • Ensure successful and fast delivery done not only by internal engineering team, but also by 7+ external engineers that are assigned to this team
  • Collaborate closely with other Engineering leads to bring continuous improvements and take our Engineering organization to a new level
  • Apply Agile and Lean principles in your work and ensure the team has a set of processes that enables them to be effective
  • Focus on the professional and personal growth of your team, including conducting performance and compensation reviews
  • Build and maintain a team of people who trust each other, are not afraid of conflict, are committed and accountable, and who care about results

About you 

  • Proven experience leading a software engineering team and delivering the outcomes
  • Know how to make teams effective, manage scopes and deliverables
  • Experience in managing large teams and/or working with a large number of time-pressured tracks in parallel
  • You possess strong people management skills - have experience ensuring development of team members
  • You possess strong process management skills and have experience in implementing process that enable frictionless delivery
  • Solid proficiency in communicating with both technical and management levels
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities and requirements
  • Excellent at communicating in spoken and written English
