Information about the position
As our new Web Engineer, you will be part of the Experimentation team. Unfamiliar with experimentation? No problem! Only a few companies manage to successfully scale experimentation company-wide, and we are aiming to be one of them. With your help, we can make it happen!

In this role, you will develop software and provide essential tools for our experimentation platform. Your work will be crucial to building a fast, scalable, and reliable infrastructure that supports experimentation. You will enable our product engineering teams to execute experiments that will help Vinted innovate at new heights.
In this position, you’ll
- Build a world-class experimentation platform loved by decision scientists, software engineers, and product managers
- Create, build, and maintain various frontend applications for self-service experiment configuration and automated experiment analysis reports
- Focus on monitoring and reducing frontend performance bottlenecks
- Make code quality improvements and eliminate inconsistencies
- Collaborate with other developers through GitHub pull requests and code reviews
- Write ES6+ TypeScript code with sprinkles of SCSS-style code and HTML5-conformant mark-up
- Work with the latest versions of Next.js, React, Redux, JSX, Jest, and other tools
- Automate every possible aspect of designing, setting up, running, and wrapping up an experiment
- Take ownership and write clean, easy-to-understand code, and contribute to the team’s scientific and data software
- Grow and use the opportunity to learn and share new knowledge in the experimentation field
- Collaborate closely with the Data Science group to bring them continuous improvements and take our experimentation capabilities to a new level
About you
- A curious individual who wants to learn and master concepts and technologies we use
- Have good knowledge of web technologies and standards
- Interested in engineering problems beyond regular product development
- Hands-on work experience in the development of operations at scale
- Familiar with most and have deep knowledge in some of the following disciplines: Software Engineering, Functional Programming, Data Structures, Algorithms, Systems Programming, Systems Architecture, Computer Science
- Pragmatic approach to problem-solving and results-oriented mindset
- Able to adapt to changing priorities and requirements
- Advantage: Experience in developing internal self-service platforms

The salary range for this position is € 4,975 - € 6,725 gross per month.
