Information about the position 

Vinted’s Finance team is in charge of producing transparent, high-quality financial accounts, as well as contributing towards sustainable operations and company growth.

We are looking for a Finance Manager who will lead a team of 5 finance specialists. The manager should ensure that the company and team objectives are achieved through the tasks performed and nurture the personal and professional development of the team members, while living Vinted values of ownership, co-creation, caring, aiming high and growth. 

The ideal candidate would be a motivated and detail-oriented professional with a strong track record in consolidating accounts, also having knowledge in IFRS, strong leadership skills, and a proactive positive attitude towards participating in projects that drive processes improvements and organisational growth.

In this position, you’ll 

  • Lead a team of 5 finance specialists
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly consolidated financial accounts, including share based payments, lease accounting and intellectual property capitalisation calculations
  • Prepare comprehensive consolidated financial statements, including notes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS
  • Be one of the leading people and collaborate with external auditors during the audit period 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information
  • Oversee financial reporting data quality and ensure controls 
  • Maintain the cap table from an accounting perspective and participate in investor reporting tasks, including monthly and quarterly reports
  • Communicate across teams and departments as needed to align various processes and initiate discussions for essential process reviews that impact the Group Financial Reporting area
  • Ensure that effective team KPIs are set, plan resources according to increasing volumes and effectively coordinate workload and tasks
  • Together with the Director of Group Accounting work on preparing a strategic plan for Group Financial reporting operations, development and processes improvements
  • Lead the process efficiency, automation, improvements and participate in projects
  • Communicate with external stakeholders for ad hoc queries requiring a higher level of diplomacy and problem solving skills

About you 

  • At least 6 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, with a specific focus on consolidation
  • Several years of experience in consolidating the group of at least 10+ legal entities 
  • Experience in the capitalisation of the intellectual property
  • Strong understanding of financial audit and IFRS requirements
  • Strong team management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise within predefined deadlines
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively review the work of others, using adequate tools and reconciliation methods
  • Proficient user of MS Excel
  • Excellent at communicating in spoken and written English (our business language)
  • Enthusiastic about working in a dynamic environment
  • Experience working in fast-growing tech company would be an advantage
