Information about the position
We are seeking an experienced Director of T&S Ops to lead our Scaled Moderation team. This role will be pivotal in ensuring operational excellence, supporting our Marketplace and managing our team of leaders and individual contributors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in operations management, people leadership, and stakeholder engagement including collaborating with Product and Data teams.
In this position, you’ll
People Management
- Leadership Development: Mentor and manage a team of leaders within the content moderation department, fostering a culture of growth, accountability, and excellence.
- Team Engagement: Drive engagement strategies to enhance team performance and satisfaction, ensuring alignment with Vinted’s core values and mission.
- Performance Management: Implement effective performance management systems to evaluate and enhance the productivity and skills of both leaders and individual contributors across the team.
Operational Excellence and Delivery
- Process Optimisation: Develop and implement robust operational processes and protocols to ensure high-quality moderation.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality of content moderation efforts, ensuring compliance with established guidelines and standards and identifying areas of improvement.
- Resource Management: Working closely with Detection teams, strategically map out team clusters and specialization groups to meet evolving business needs and priorities and design processes to enable agile and dynamic prioritisation
Trust and Safety Operations
- Supporting Trust and Safety Priorities: Collaborate with the Senior Director of Trust and Safety Operations as well as Product and Engineering Directors to align operational activities with the broader trust and safety priorities of Vinted.
- Market Insight: Stay informed about industry trends and best practices related to trust and safety in online marketplaces and develop processes to enable effective insight generation from moderators to relevant stakeholders
Analytical Excellence
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilise strong analytical skills to measure operational efficiencies and drive data-informed decisions.
- Framework Development: Support building effective frameworks for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on operational performance and key metrics.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by leveraging analytics to identify areas for enhancement and innovation.
About you
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in operations management, Scaled Support or Marketplace operations. A focus on content moderation, trust and safety, or related fields is a plus.
- Proven experience in managing and developing leaders and large teams, with a strong focus on people management and team engagement.
- Extensive knowledge of creating and implementing operational processes, quality assurance protocols, and resource management strategies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in building frameworks and using data to drive operational improvements.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong understanding of trust and safety functions is a plus.
- Positive leadership and ability to mentor more junior leaders within Scaled Moderation and across other sub-function
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Analytical field / Operations Management or Business Administration / Master’s degree preferred.

The salary range for this position is € 3717 - € 5033 gross per month.
