Information about the position 

In your new role, you will become part of the Financial Operations team which together with another team of  Business Analytics is part of the Vinted Go Finance and Business Analytics domain. Together the function is responsible for coordinating the growth strategy, financial planning, operational resource planning, performance measurement, and financial operations for Vinted Go.

The Financial Operations team is responsible for implementing and improving processes to achieve greater efficiency and accuracy, reduce errors and risks, and provide timely and accurate financial information to support better decision-making.

In this position, you’ll 

  • Resolve complex financial data issues and conduct objective investigations;
  • Utilise data analysis tools and techniques to identify discrepancies and inconsistencies in data, and propose corrective actions;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and DSA (Data Science and Analytics), to align, develop and implement control measures;
  • Systematically implement analysis of transactions from 60+ Carriers, considering various perspectives, to make informed and timely decisions that contribute to better cost control and identify internal process or data inefficiencies;
  • Regularly report cost trends and insights by preparing a Monthly Performance Deck;
  • Support business on ad-hoc cost analysis requests;
  • Independently lead cost visibility improvement related initiatives within the team, area, or cross-functionally;
  • Continuously assess, refine, and automate existing processes to optimise efficiency and accuracy;
  • Support the creation of new processes required for business growth;
  • Actively support the work of other team members.

About you 

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Econometrics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, or a related field (equivalent working experience is also acceptable);
  • 2+ years of experience working as a Data Analyst, Product Analyst, Financial Analyst, or other experience requiring analysis of different financial operations;
  • Able to build dashboards and work with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau);
  • Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and SQL is a prerequisite;
  • Experience with Google BigQuery is preferred;
  • Experience in finance or accounting areas is preferred;
  • Requires little supervision and understands end-to-end processes;
  • Experience in creating, implementing, and automating financial processes and controls;
  • Ability to analyse and interpret large amounts of financial data to provide insights and recommendations;
  • Self-starter, structured, and highly attentive to detail and accuracy;
  • Continuous improvement mindset, with a desire to streamline processes and automate tasks where possible;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members, stakeholders, and management;
  • Excellent at communicating in spoken and written English.

The salary range for this position is € 3,175 - € 4,292 gross per month.
