Information about the position
As an intern, you will be responsible for completing a data pipeline project end-to-end. This will involve clarifying requirements, creating technical write-ups and/or proposals, and contributing to the existing codebase, primarily in SQL, and carrying out some typical day-to-day tasks such as code reviews, debugging, triaging and resolving issues, contributing to team rituals and discussions.
As part of a centralised team of Analytics Engineers in the Vinted Go Business Unit, you will participate in team rituals, meetings, and knowledge sharing sessions, and gain general insights
about the different domains in Vinted Go, their data and applications. You will work directly with Analytics Engineers in the Business Unit and will report to a senior Analytics Engineer who will support and mentor you.
In this position, you’ll
- Learn about Analytics Engineering principles and best practices
- Gain a deeper understanding of theoretical concepts relevant to the field (i.e. data
modeling) - Practice and develop technical skills that are relevant in any data role (i.e. SQL, version
control) - Support an established team in expanding its data product capabilities
- Build end-to-end pipeline(s) as part of a project using dbt, BigQuery, Airflow
- Learn about the day-to-day responsibilities and tasks that Analytics Engineers own
- Practice writing and reviewing technical proposals and documentation
