As a licensed financial institution, we’re working to bring secure and seamless payment solutions to buyers and sellers across Europe. With Vinted Pay, the money our Marketplace members make from selling is stored safely, yet freely available to spend on our platform or withdraw to a bank account.
After our rapid growth across Europe, it became clear that managing payments in-house would offer more control, flexibility, and trust for our members.
We introduced Vinted Pay in 2023 to improve the financial experience on Vinted. By making buying and selling as seamless, secure, and user-friendly as possible, our members can focus on what they love: making pre-loved items new-again.
By facilitating electronic money transfers within a secure and regulated environment, our members can use their Vinted Balance – where earnings for sold items are stored – to shop on Vinted, or withdraw funds to an external bank account.
As a relatively new function, this is a rare chance to work on building a payment system from the ground up – solving real challenges in a fast-growing, highly-trusted platform.
