Information about the position
In this role, the Operations Manager will manage a team composed of Shift Managers, Team Leaders and Operatives in a sorting center (30-50 people in total). The Operations Manager is responsible for the operational performance of inbound, robotics sortation and outbound processes. The role involves demonstrating and building our team cultures, processes and operating strategy.
In this position, you’ll
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organisation, ensure that they are carried out efficiently and safely, and make adjustments as needed
- Analyse the performance of the warehouse, identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop strategies to achieve the current goals and objectives, taking into account the available resources and constraints.
- Work on continuous improvement by contributing to workshops and projects, providing inputs to tech and project teams, and coordinating changes.
- Take part in recruitment and coaching activities: hire, manage, develop, and remove barriers for the team.
- Own responsibility for the building during your working hours, including relations with service providers (maintenance, waste management, cleanliness, etc.)
About you
- Master's degree from a Business School or other institution in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering or any other relevant domain
- An experience in a similar function (3-5 years) in a logistics warehouse, managing team of +30 people is needed
- Strong understanding of HR and safety policies specific to logistics warehouses
- In-depth knowledge of productivity standards and key performance indicators (KPIs) used in logistics warehouses
- Excellent skills in English as well as in French
- Ability to lead by example and demonstrate great leadership skills
- People-oriented approach to give regular and constructive feedback
- Ability to make well-informed decisions
- Well-versed at data analysis and problem-solving

The salary range for this position is € 50,500 gross / year.
