We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Information Security Engineering team. You will be heading up a group of 7-8 engineers who provide application security services to over 80 developer teams and support physical security solutions across 10+ locations. As Vinted scales to global markets, your mission will be to help the team tackle unique security challenges while ensuring they grow and thrive as a cohesive unit.

• Lead a currently dual-focused team that is responsible for two services:
  • Application security: safeguarding Vinted by identifying and coordinating mitigation of vulnerabilities through network, server, and code scans, software composition analysis, penetration testing, securing cloud infrastructure, and software supply chains.
  • Physical security: helping to prevent physical security incidents across 10+ locations. The e  engineers work together with the office and warehouse teams to design physical access and CCTV controls, oversee vendor deliveries, and support during incident investigations.
• Evolve the team’s structure, vision, and strategic roadmap, aligning with business goals and emerging security threats.
• Set scope, priorities, and measurable goals (OKRs/KPIs), ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of security initiatives.
• Own planning, stakeholder management, and reporting, communicating progress and risks to senior leadership.
• Identify hiring needs and lead recruitment and team scaling, while cultivating continuous learning, coaching, and career development.
• Promote a culture of high performance, accountability, and foster well-being, addressing challenges constructively and supporting team engagement.
• Continuously improve team efficiency, productivity, and quality through process optimization and data-driven decision making.
• Be a part of a team of peers - other engineering managers from the Group Security domain. Together with the Director of Engineering, you will support each other in addressing daily and strategic challenges.

• Have proven experience building and leading technical teams, with a track record of successful results.
• Have a solid understanding to guide a team in the area of application and physical security.
• Ability to navigate in an ambiguous and fast-growth environment.
• Able to advocate technical initiatives - identify objectives and make impactful plans to reach them.
• Possess the courage to address uncomfortable situations and reach constructive outcomes.
• Able to fluently communicate in English, understand, and explain complex engineering and security concepts to non-engineering colleagues.

The salary range for this position is € 6658 - € 9008 gross per month.
