Vinted Go Carrier is the logistics engine behind Vinted. As a Backend Engineer on the Shops Team, you will build the systems powering our global network of 10,000+ PUDO (Pick-up/Drop-off) points. You will own the services that enable partner onboarding, shop management, and the mobile ecosystem used daily by thousands of shop partners.

In 2026, we are moving beyond a purely software-based network to integrate automation and custom hardware into our locations. Your work will be central to:

• Building the backend logic to support new hardware that makes parcel drop-offs and collections fully autonomous for customers.
• Adapting and scaling our infrastructure as Vinted Go launches and grows across the US and Europe.
• Ensuring our shop-facing apps and management tools stay performant as our physical network expands rapidly.

• Work with backend and mobile engineers to scale our parcel shop app across Europe and the USA.
• Experiment with new hardware and automation tools as we bring automation to our parcel shop network.
• Architect event-driven Ruby and Golang backends (Kafka, MQTT, Avro) with full-stack observability (Datadog, Grafana, ELK), supported by the latest AI workflows (Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code, OpenAI).
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents, improving observability and operational runbooks as you go.
• Travel to our key markets across Europe to see your products in real life.

• You have proven experience in the software development field.
• You have solid backend engineering skills, with experience in Ruby and/or Go being a significant advantage.
• Willing to learn and master new technologies and concepts.
• Happy to work in ambiguity, taking the initiative to find the right path when the solution isn't yet defined.
• Passionate about using AI to support the development process, championing the use of LLMs to solve complex problems faster, and defining the AI-first culture of this new team.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Advantage: Prior experience supporting mobile applications.

The salary range for this position is €3,558 - €4,808 gross per month.
