At Vinted, software engineers work in Product Engineering teams. Depending on the Product, the team may consist of only Backend engineers, or a mix of iOS, Android, Web, and Backend engineers.You’ll be part of the Network domain at Vinted Go, where we integrate with and operate external shipping providers, maintaining and improving their services to ensure reliable delivery for the Vinted Marketplace.

We are looking for a Backend Engineer who would like to work in the Parcel Tracking scope: ensuring tracking accuracy and timeliness end-to-end, improving parcel delivery success, and owning key tracking-related policies and experiences. You’ll be aiming to prepare our product for the challenges that lie ahead and making sure it contributes to the Vinted vision of making second-hand the first choice.

• Improve parcel delivery success by evolving end-to-end tracking to be more complete, accurate, and actionable covering pickup access, reroutes/status changes, lost-parcel detection and policy flows, and early identification of shipments at risk (missing or delayed events, stuck parcels) 
• Work in an Agile team delivering frequent, production-ready improvements
• Collaborate with Customer Support, carrier integration teams, and other shipping domain engineers to resolve tracking issues and prevent repeats
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents, improving observability and operational runbooks as you go
• Work with Ruby on Rails, MySQL, Elasticsearch and many more technologies. We don't expect you to be familiar with these. You can learn it along the way - we will help you to do this!
• For monitoring and alerting we use Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, DataDog. If something is wrong, we get a slack message

• You have proven experience in software development field
• You should be willing to learn and master new technologies & concepts

The salary range for this position is € 3,588 - € 4,808 gross per month.
