Information about the position
We are seeking a hands-on Internal Controls Manager to lead the journey of maturing our internal controls environment. This isn't just about compliance; it’s about building a resilient, scalable framework that supports a fast-paced organisation. If you enjoy building frameworks, deconstructing complex processes, and collaborating across functions, this role is for you.
In this position, you’ll
- Design and deploy a robust company-wide internal controls framework, establishing high standards for documentation and managing workflows.
- Ensure the internal controls over financial reporting are supporting SOX compliance.
- Partner with process owners to document end-to-end business processes, identify critical risks and embed effective control points, maintain risk and controls matrix.
- Establish and lead the internal control testing program to ensure the reliability of financial reporting and operational data.
- Monitor control effectiveness and provide actionable insights to stakeholders, ensuring leadership has a clear view of the risk landscape.
- Act as a consultant to teams across the company, ensuring new products or system changes are built with "controls by design."
- Optimise internal controls workflows and reporting processes through automation and technology, reducing manual overhead while increasing accuracy.
About you
- Strong professional background, including hands-on experience in Internal Controls or Internal Audit..
- Deep understanding of control frameworks (experience with SOX or COSO is a significant advantage)
- A university degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business or Accounting
- Proven ability to manage high-complexity projects from inception to completion
- Great collaboration skills
- Excellent at communicating in spoken and written English
- Good Excel/Google sheets skills
- Excited about technology-driven businesses
- Advantage: Experience working with GRC tools for Internal Controls management

The salary range for this position is € 85,000 - € 115,000 gross per year.
