About the role 

The Shift Manager ensures the smooth operation of activities and embodies the Vinted Go culture in their daily behavior. They adhere to current safety, quality, and production standards while contributing to the continuous improvement of warehouse operations. At every step, they ensure the consistency of their work and tasks performed in order to alert in case of detected anomalies and avoid possible errors.

In this position, you'll: 

Safety, Compliance, and Site Preparation:

  • Ensure that all employees adhere to Vinted Go's safety policies and procedures, as well as comply with the law.
  • Ensure that the site and all equipment are in good working condition and that repairs are carried out promptly.

Operational Excellence:

  • Supervise the work of their team and ensure that all tasks are performed efficiently and to high standards.
  • Guide and motivate their team : team leader and operatives
  • Train and develop their team : team leader and operatives
  • Identify recruitment needs and implement necessary training actions to maintain the site's competitiveness and the development of their team.

Reporting:

  • Report on the performance of their position and the warehouse as a whole.
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement.

Planning:

  • Establish schedules and record the working hours of permanent staff for payroll transmission and temporary staff for transmission and invoicing by the temporary employment agency
  • Ensure that there is sufficient manpower scheduled to meet the company's needs and ensure the team adheres to the schedule.

Supply Management:

  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure supplies are ordered in a timely manner to avoid shortages.

Customer Experience:

  • Contribute to the customer experience by handling complaints or issues addressed to them.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Participate in workshops and projects, contribute to technical teams and projects, and coordinate changes.

About you: 

Knowledge:

  • Mastery of warehouse logistics operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety policies and procedures specific to logistics warehouses.
  • Understanding of operations related to receiving, storing, order preparation, packing, and shipping of products.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems.
  • Ability to use computer tools such as scanners, inventory tracking software, etc.
  • Familiarity with productivity standards and key performance indicators (KPIs) used in logistics warehouses.

Skills:

  • Ability to effectively manage a team and motivate team members to achieve objectives.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, especially for setting work schedules and optimizing workforce utilization.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills, particularly for resolving daily operational issues and making quick, informed decisions.
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with various stakeholders, such as employees, supervisors, support services, etc.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage changing priorities effectively.
  • Leadership skills to inspire and guide the team towards operational excellence.
