Everything you need to know about Internships at Vinted

2025 February 05

At Vinted, we offer paid entry-level programmes designed to support new graduates and career changers starting fresh in the workplace. These programmes fall into two categories: Academies and Internships (the Vintern programme and off-cycle internships).

Our approach to internships is unique - interns aren’t just observers; they’re active contributors, working alongside their teams on real projects that make an impact. In this blog, we’ll walk you through our Summer Vintern Programme, what we look for in candidates, and how the application process works.

What is the Summer Vintern Programme?

The Summer Vintern Programme is designed for those with little or no professional experience, providing a hands-on introduction to working at Vinted.

As a Vintern, you’ll gain real-world experience, develop valuable skills, and grow your professional network - all while working on meaningful projects.

Internships are available across various departments, including Data Science, Analytics, Talent Acquisition, and Design, and take place in our Amsterdam, Berlin, Paris, Vilnius, and Kaunas offices.

2024 Highlights:
✔️ 23 Vinterns joined us
✔️ 10+ different nationalities
✔️ 12 business areas covered

Internships last 2 to 3 months, but we also offer off-cycle internships at different times of the year, depending on the role and location.

How is the Summer Vintern programme structured?

Our core values - aiming high, taking ownership, co-creating, caring, and growing - are at the heart of the Vintern experience.

  • 85% of your time is spent working within your team, contributing to real projects.
  • 15% of your time is dedicated to a Vinternship group project, where you’ll collaborate with fellow interns to tackle a business-relevant challenge.

Past projects have focused on AI in business, DEI challenges, and other strategic topics.

At Vinted, we follow a flexible, hybrid workplace model - Vinterns spend at least two days per week in the office, with the option to work remotely on other days.

What support can Vinterns expect?

From day one, you’ll be part of a team, with a mentor to guide you throughout your internship. You’ll receive regular feedback, take part in workshops and lectures, and build connections across the company.

Some past learning sessions have covered:

  • The power of empathy
  • Adapting communication styles
  • Tackling AI challenges

At Vinted, every voice matters - you’ll be encouraged to contribute, share ideas, and collaborate just like any other team member.

What are the perks?

Along with a welcoming, international environment, Vinterns also get:

  • A monthly Vinted shopping budget
  • Access to all the tools & tech needed for work
  • A lunch allowance or discounted in-house meals (depending on location)

Who should apply?

There are no age requirements to apply, and in most cases, you don’t need to be a student. We welcome anyone at the start of their career, whether you’re a recent graduate, a career switcher, or self-taught.

We're looking for:

  • Motivated, purpose-driven people
  • Team players who love to co-create
  • Individuals eager to learn and make an impact

Our team is diverse, just like the people we build products for. What connects us isn’t our backgrounds - it’s our shared culture.

The application process

Our application process usually takes several weeks, ensuring a great fit between you and our team. Here’s how it works:

  • Step 1
    Application

First, you apply for a listed position. Tell us who you are beyond your CV! Highlight your passions, skills, and relevant projects in your motivation letter.

  • Step 2
    Scenario Test

Take an interactive test that mirrors real situations at Vinted. This helps us understand how your problem-solving approach aligns with our values.

  • Step 3
    Practical Assignment

Show us what you can do! You’ll have one week to complete a task related to your role, with support available if needed.

  • Step 4
    Interview

A one-hour virtual interview with the hiring team, where we’ll discuss your experience, the assignment, and your aspirations. This is also your chance to ask us questions!

Ready to join us?

As a Vintern, you won’t just gain experience - you’ll contribute, collaborate, and grow.

By giving our global community access to second-hand fashion, we help reduce retail’s climate impact - and you can be part of that mission.
