We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to join our newly formed Product Security domain. Main domain’s responsibilities include Registration/Login and stopping of Bot accounts and preventing account takeovers.

Registration and Login features for Vinted are key to member experience in everyday usage. These features, while being UX driven, need to be protected from bad actors and unintended workflow abuse. With the anti-bot team we take this a step further to centrally protect Vinted against bot attacks within the whole ecosystem.

We employ different tactics to solve the mentioned problems, we work together with 3rd parties who help us do that, of which the team has full ownership. Additionally, our own security features are added to ensure the protection is best in class. 

You would be joining a new anti-bot team which is forming within the Marketplace Product Security domain. The team has all the competencies to drive decisions and delivery and consists of backend, frontend, quality assurance engineers, decision scientist, product manager, and an engineering manager (your role). 

Your main responsibility will be:

• Owning the delivery management and aligning with stakeholders (internal and external)
• Maintaining the health and maturity of the team
• Ensuring Quality of Engineering
• Driving engineering solutions which will protect Vinted from bot attacks

• Work in a team to shape features that make Vinted product security top-notch
• Specifically focus on anti-bot agenda, in a greenfield area to resolve existing challenges
• Create a roadmap, OKR’s, delivery plan and ensure the team crushes bots
• Collaborate closely with other Engineering leads to bring continuous improvements and take our Engineering organization to a new level
• Drive both professional and personal growth of people, while building a high-trust, high-accountability team that delivers results.

• You have led at least two different teams for extended period of time (one of them preferably is security related)
• Proven experience leading a software engineering team and delivering meaningful outcomes, not just shipping features
• Know how to make teams effective, manage scopes, and deliverables
• Able to adapt to changing priorities and requirements, comfortable working in a discovery-heavy and greenfield environment
• Experience working with data‑heavy or metrics‑driven products (e.g. building metrics frameworks, experimentation, or detection systems) is a plus

The salary range for this position is € 6,658 - € 9,008 gross per month.
