We're hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Order domain (Nasa team) at Vinted. The NASA team builds and owns the end-to-end order fulfillment experience, ensuring every order is seamlessly prepared, shipped, tracked, and delivered with clarity, reliability, and scale.

You’ll work alongside mobile, web, and backend engineers in a cross-functional, autonomous team, delivering features that directly impact over 80 million users. As a backend engineer, you’ll write business logic, develop APIs, and help scale our platform to support rapid growth. • Work in a team and shape features that make our members’ lives better
• Work with Golang, Ruby on Rails, MySQL, Memcached, Elasticsearch, and many more technologies. You don’t need prior experience with all of them.
• Craft the code that can handle more than 2M requests per minute and 12-15 transactions per second
• Apply Agile and Lean principles in your work, participating in planning, retrospectives, and other ceremonies.
• Collaborate with other developers through GitHub pull requests and code reviews
• Work in a fully data-driven environment - all code changes are A/B tested, giving you clear, measurable feedback on how your work affects users, performance, and business outcomes.
• Take part in architecture and backend decision-making, shaping technical solutions and standards that have a long-term impact on the Order domain and Vinted’s platform.
• See your code impact 80 million users almost instantly—our master branch is rolled out to production multiple times per day
• Break down large monoliths into smaller, manageable components and services
• Own your service end-to-end: from system architecture and design to deployment, observability, and performance tuning. Monitor system performance using tools like Grafana and Kibana
• Own SLIs/SLOs in the product team
• Write unit tests (RSpec) for all of the code you write. We have >10000 tests that run in ~5 minutes through our Jenkins setup
• Effectively partner across teams to prioritize and deliver results

• You are eager to learn and ready to master new technologies and concepts
• You love to improve things, and if you see something that needs improvement, you actively bring it to the table
• You are familiar with the following disciplines: Software Engineering, Distributed Systems, Systems Architecture, Service-Oriented Architecture
• You understand enterprise architecture patterns, (micro)services, and their pros/cons
• You can engage in constructive and healthy conflict, expressing your views openly, while maintaining respect and professionalism towards colleagues
