We are looking for a Backend Engineer with a focus or interest in infrastructure to join our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team in the Production Engineering domain. Together with a team of experienced colleagues, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of storage infrastructure consisting of hundreds of Redis clusters, hundreds of etcd clusters, petabytes of data stored in Ceph, and terabytes of memcached caches running on thousands of physical servers across various regions.

Our Production Engineering domain is responsible for ensuring the Vinted platform operates 24/7 and provides essential infrastructure to other teams.

You'll work with a diverse tech stack, including:

• Languages: Go, Ruby
• Databases/Storage: MySQL, Vitess, Elasticsearch, Ceph, Redis, etcd, memcached
• Monitoring/Observability: Prometheus, Thanos, Grafana
• DevOps/Orchestration: Rocky Linux, Chef, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Istio, Argo CD
• ...and more.

• Automate team-owned infrastructure, making it easy to operate, scale and manage
• Maintain and improve team-owned Images service, serving images for millions of Vinted users
• Solve complex technical problems with significant business impact
• Participate in one-week on-call rotation, making sure our infrastructure is in the best shape at all times

• You have a strong programming background, ideally in Go or Ruby, though experience in other languages is also welcome
• You have an understanding of Linux operating systems
• You’re familiar with, or willing to learn, our technology stack, or you have worked with similar tools and platforms
• You communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.

The salary range for this position is € 3,558 - € 6,725 gross per month.
