We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Data Platform Experience team within Data Infrastructure.

Our mission is to craft reliable infrastructure and user-centric tooling that makes data easy to trust, easy to use, and easy to find. The team builds and maintains core Data Platform components such as Jupyter Notebooks, the Data Catalog, Airflow, BigQuery, dbt, and Looker. We also set standards for working with data, and we educate and reinforce a data-driven culture across Vinted.

The team currently includes 4 Data Engineers who report directly to you and 3 Analytics Engineers who report to your peer, the Staff Analytics Engineer, with whom you co-lead the team.

In practice, it means:

• Collaborating with the Staff Engineer and Data Infrastructure leaders to create a clear vision for the data platform, understanding user needs, and developing aligned strategies.
• Defining initiatives and a roadmap focused on strategic goals and ensuring their successful delivery.
• Actively improving the platform’s reliability, usability, and performance.
• Developing Service Level Objectives and a support model matching the platform’s increasing criticality, ensuring reliability and fast resolution of issues.
• Communicating progress effectively and managing stakeholder expectations with transparent updates.
• Recognizing impediments to team efficiency and implementing solutions to enhance collaboration, efficiency, and delivery speed.
• Building and maintaining a team culture of trust, accountability, and results while supporting growth through performance and compensation reviews.
• Ensuring sufficient skills and capabilities in the team to support Vinted’s growth.

• You have a proven track record of transforming complex problems into practical solutions, collaborating effectively across teams, and supporting individuals in their professional growth. 
• You are self-driven and like to get things done — and done well. 
• You bring hands-on technical leadership and/or people management experience, and have led or contributed to infrastructure or platform teams in an Agile environment.
• You are courageous in addressing difficult situations, managing conflicts, and making tough decisions. 
• You communicate effectively with both technical and management audiences.

The salary range for this position is € 82,700 - € 120,000 gross per year, with room for annual salary growth.
