As a Senior Security Engineer focusing on technical security engineering challenges, you will be part of the Group Security function, which supports the whole organisation. As a Cyber Defense team, we adopt or develop technological solutions to protect the security of Vinted members and employees and to secure the organisation against external and internal threats. To achieve this, we provide consultations, incident response, threat intelligence, security awareness and security-enhancing technologies and services to the whole organisation.

• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to embed security best practices into their development workflows and provide expert guidance on secure architecture.
• Track, research, and experiment with the latest tactics, techniques and procedures for attacking and defending on-prem and cloud environments.
• Drive the automation of security processes, detection engineering and incident response playbooks.
• Respond to security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures to enhance overall security posture.
• Research emerging security technologies, attack techniques, and industry trends to keep our defenses ahead of the curve. You'll have the freedom to experiment with new tools and approaches to solve challenging security problems.
• Share your expertise with fellow engineers, fostering a strong security-first culture across the organisation.
• Create, track and iterate on metrics that showcase actionable insights to leadership across Vinted.

• Hands-on experience in engineering roles, with a strong focus on infrastructure security.
• Strong programming skills in at least one language (e.g., Go, Python, Ruby) and a passion for automating security processes.
• Proficient in securing cloud environments (AWS, GCP) and understanding best practices for cloud security.
• Pragmatic problem-solver, able to balance security requirements with business needs and engineering velocity.
• Can communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders and work well in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent at communicating in spoken and written English.

The salary range for this position is €4,975 - € 8,842 gross per month.
