Information about the position

As Country People Lead for BeNeLux & UK, you’ll take the lead on Vinted’s People strategy in the Netherlands—our largest presence in the region—while also supporting operations in the UK, and maintaining oversight of smaller employee populations in Belgium and Luxembourg.

You’ll be based in Amsterdam, with Vinted’s hybrid working model in place. However, due to the hands-on nature of this role—supporting the local team, collaborating cross-functionally, and engaging with stakeholders—it is essential that you maintain a consistent presence in the office shared with the team.

You will be responsible for delivering a locally relevant and globally aligned People experience, while partnering closely with local business leaders, People Business Partners, and cross-functional teams. This role is ideal for a pragmatic, strategic thinker with deep knowledge of Dutch labour law and the ability to advise on complex employee topics in an evolving environment.

You’ll lead a team comprising one direct report, with a dotted-line relationship to the Hub Manager to support seamless collaboration on all site-related People initiatives. From Works Council engagement in the Netherlands to employee experience in the UK, you’ll guide and execute impactful, compliant, and forward-looking people practices.

  • Oversee all employee relations matters within the region, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and Vinted's internal policies
  • Act as the internal expert on Dutch employment law and advise on People matters across the UK, Belgium, and Luxembourg
  • Partner with Legal, People Business Partners, and central People teams to ensure processes are both locally relevant and globally consistent
  • Utilise data and insights to inform decisions and drive continuous improvements in employee experience and operational efficiency
  • Coach leaders on sensitive and complex employee situations, promoting consistent and equitable results that align with company values and legal requirements
  • Co-create and implement local engagement strategies based on employee feedback, company values, and strategic business objectives

About you

  • Extensive experience in a senior HR/People leadership role, primarily focused on the Netherlands, with preferred exposure to the UK and Belgium
  • In-depth understanding of Dutch employment law, with a strong working knowledge of UK, Belgian, and Luxembourg legal frameworks being advantageous
  • Demonstrated expertise in Works Council management, employee relations, and leading organizational change initiatives
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively within a dynamic, matrixed organization, while fostering strong relationships with both local and global stakeholders
  • Proven capability to coach and develop team members and facilitate cross-functional collaboration
  • A pragmatic and people-focused approach with a clear alignment to business objectives and the ability to support them through People initiatives
