We are expanding our team within the Marketplace Security domain and are seeking a skilled Android Engineer. The mission of the domain is to protect and drive the growth of Vinted by delivering frictionless, reliable, and holistic security solutions. You will build and support features that enhance the safety of Vinted members and protect the platform from unwanted activity through automated or manual means, such as account verification.

The team is cross-functional, so you will work with other mobile engineers, frontend and backend engineers, QA, designers and product managers.

We seek a collaborative and results-oriented individual. The primary responsibility of this role is to implement product changes while modularising and scaling our global codebase. By doing so, you will contribute to Vinted's vision of making second-hand the first choice worldwide.

• Design, develop, and implement security features and enhancements within the Android platform.
• Collaborate closely with product management, other engineering teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to integrate security best practices throughout the Android development lifecycle.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Android security and industry trends, proactively identifying and addressing potential risks.
• Conduct security reviews and threat modelling for new and existing authentication features, identifying potential vulnerabilities and recommending robust mitigation strategies.

• Hands-on experience in Android security engineering, with a strong understanding of Android's security architecture, framework, and application layers.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java for Android development with knowledge of Jetpack Compose.
• Experience in implementing secure authentication mechanisms in Android applications.
• Solid understanding of web application architectures and common vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10, etc.)
• Able to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders and work well in cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent at communicating in spoken and written English.

The salary range for this position is € 3,558 - € 6,725 gross per month.
