At Vinted Go, the OpsTech domain is dedicated to developing tech solutions that enhance our logistics operations. Your work will have a tangible impact on the real world, improving how tens of millions of shipments are delivered. But it's more than just moving packages, ultimately, it's about empowering Vinted users to lead more sustainable lives.
You’ll be embedded in the product team called “Tetris”. The team is responsible for the warehouse software and hardware products, including sorting robots and various assisting features to manage day-to-day operations. Working closely with the Product Manager, you'll ensure the team has clear metrics to prioritise new product improvements. You'll design A/B tests to experimentally measure the value of new features and provide actionable recommendations to enhance our operations.
Within Data Science & Analytics (DSA), we have three distinct roles. We believe that each role can make a similarly sized business impact in different ways, and therefore, our salary ranges are the same for all three roles. To understand your role within the DSA context better, here are brief descriptions of each role we have in the department:
Decision Scientists are responsible for actionable insights, identifying and sizing opportunities, and automated tools that increase the quality of product and business decisions by applying statistical methods and data-driven decision-making.
Data Scientists are responsible for identification of algorithmic opportunities, ensuring those opportunities are addressed in an optimal fashion and design, development and maintenance of production-grade statistical and machine learning algorithms.
Analytics Engineers are responsible for data curation – translating data needs from stakeholders into architecting, building and maintaining efficient & reliable data models and pipelines.
In this position, you’ll
- Serve as your team's primary point of contact for all data-related questions
- Use data to help drive improvements in our under-the-roof operations
- Analyse identified opportunities to understand their business impact using statistical methods and visualization tools
- Work closely with the Product Manager to prioritize new product features based on data-driven insights and opportunity sizing
- Select, calculate, and monitor the team's key performance indicators (KPIs), proactively flagging and addressing issues
- Enable your team and direct stakeholders to independently leverage data for business insights via self-service dashboards
- Plan A/B tests and analyze their results to validate the value of new features and inform decision-making
About you
- Fluent in SQL and working experience in Python
- Analytically curious with strong business acumen and strategic thinking
- Highly results-oriented and comfortable with iterative processes
- Strong communicator who can convincingly present results to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Statistically proficient (e.g., A/B testing, regression analysis)
- Excellent at communicating in written and spoken English
