Information about the position
We're looking for a Strategic Partnership Manager, Shipping, to join our Network Domain. In this role, you will understand the shipping requirements for different markets, investigate and identify the most suitable shipping providers, and negotiate the best possible shipping deals.
By improving existing partnerships and building new ones, you will be crucial to the company’s growth strategy.
In this position, you’ll
- Lead shipping strategy for different Vinted countries by setting clear success metrics, developing long-term plans, and establishing negotiation objectives
- Fully own the cost negotiations with shipping providers in your assigned countries to secure competitiveness for end-to-end shipping, first/last mile delivery, 3PL services, packaging, customs clearance, and other shipping-related services
- Takes full ownership of developing, negotiating, renewing, and maintaining contractual agreements with shipping service providers
- Communicate effectively with shipping providers to ensure that our business requirements are fully met
- Set and monitor performance metrics of shipping partners, analyze carriers’ processes to identify potential opportunities and areas for cost reduction and service improvements
- Manage and resolve carrier performance issues through collaboration, including handling invoice disputes and claims rejections
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with shipping partners to execute strategy, meet cost targets, reduce friction, and ensure business continuity while managing risks
- Act as a Project Manager for shipping driven larger complex cross-domain initiatives to improve internal shipping-related systems and processes
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to define clear project objectives, secure necessary resources, and ensure alignment with overall business goals
- Stay up to date with the logistics ecosystem by monitoring existing providers' offerings, evaluating potential startup partnerships, and tracking market trends, competition, and industry innovations.
About you
- Have at least 5 years of experience in Business Development and Sales within e-commerce, parcel logistics, or retail industry
- Knowledge about parcel logistics infrastructure and operations recommended
- Have strong negotiation skills, experience in leading negotiations and closing high-value contracts
- Have an analytical approach to daily tasks and decision-making
- Have excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken
- Spanish/Italian or any other additional language would be a strong advantage
- Strong planning and prioritization skills
- Have a positive, can-do attitude
- Can work with ease under pressure
- Are able to meet tight deadlines while handling multiple projects at once
- Are friendly, approachable, and enjoy building good relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
