Our Quality Assurance team makes sure our product releases reach Vinted members as fast as possible and in an impeccable state. More than 250 engineers deliver new features, improvements, and changes every day.
These are ambitious goals that involve a lot of steps and process changes. You can help us get there by joining the team as one of our new Test Automation Engineers. This position is ideal for engineers who want to develop in their role both personally and professionally and who want to make a tangible impact on Vinted’s growth.
We are the central hub for managing and facilitating payments. The Payments domain ensures secure and efficient transactions, enhances the user experience, and drives successful transactions through a reliable platform with advanced fraud prevention and tailored payment solutions. At Payments domain, our mission is to serve as a reliable, ultra-low-cost payment service and enable any transaction at Vinted to succeed. We're seeking a Test Automation engineer, who would be motivated to work on large-scale projects that impact millions of payments. Our team focuses on AML and KYC. We ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, enhance transaction security, and protect the platform from money laundering activities. By implementing advanced verification and monitoring systems, our team plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and trustworthiness of Vinted's payment ecosystem, ensuring a safe and compliant experience for all users. The team consists of all roles required to fulfill our area’s development needs: multiple backend engineers, iOS, WEB, Android, test automation engineer, decision scientist, a designer, and a product manager.

In this position, you’ll
- Help us expand our current test suite for backend and frontend
- Lead root cause analysis and cultivate a culture of critical thinking.
- Share knowledge and know-how inside and outside the team
- Integrate testability and quality considerations early in the development process.
- Develop comprehensive test coverage strategies.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for restful APIs
- Engage with good practices implementation in API endpoint/backend testing
- Work closely with UX to understand user roles and patterns.
- Establish best practices based on previous experience
- Introduce process changes to make us more nimble and fast-moving
- Collaborate with other developers through GitHub pull requests and code reviews
- Mentor engineers in non-automated testing practices and engage in exploratory testing.
- Advocate for the resolution of bugs to ensure they are effectively addressed.
About you
- A mid-senior level engineer with extensive experience in setting up various test automation frameworks.
- Possess deep expertise in at least one programming language used professionally. Familiar with Jenkins or other CI tools.
- Have a willingness to learn and master new technologies and concepts.
- Exhibit comprehensive knowledge in creating the right mix of tests, covering and advocating for critical code coverage, and adeptly refactoring and simplifying tests.
- Have a solid understanding and capability to test API endpoints with a strong passion for automation.
- Experienced in using Grafana, Kibana, or similar monitoring tools.
- Able to prioritize and advocate for critical bug fixes effectively.

Hybrid Work
We’ve adopted a hybrid workplace model where 2 days in the office are recommended but not enforced. It’s up to you and your team to decide on the exact days you’ll spend working together in person.

The salary range for this position is € 4,975 - € 6,725 gross per month.
