People Data Analyst
Brief info about Vinted
Our mission is to make second-hand the first choice, and we're looking for people who want to help us get there. Every day, we work together to help our members buy and sell pre-loved clothing and lifestyle items, giving each piece a second life – or even a third.
The Vinted Group is made up of three business units that support this mission:
Vinted Marketplace is Europe’s leading platform for second-hand fashion and a go-to destination for all kinds of pre-loved items, with a growing range of categories. Our platform connects millions of members across 20+ markets, helping great items find a new life.
Vinted Go enhances the shipping experience with a vast network of over 500,000 pick-up and drop-off points, partnering with more than 60 carriers across Europe, with added services like item verification for peace of mind on high-value pieces.
Vinted Pay is the newest part of the Vinted Group, dedicated to bringing secure, reliable payments to buyers and sellers across Europe. Seamlessly integrated into the Vinted app, it helps keep every transaction safe, efficient, and easy for our members.
Founded in 2008 in Lithuania, Vinted began as a way for friends to find new homes for clothes they no longer needed. In 2019, we became Lithuania's first unicorn! Today, our headquarters remain in Vilnius, and we've grown with offices across Europe, supported by a team of over 2,000 people.
Information about the position
We are looking for a People Data Analyst to join our People Analytics Team. As Vinted grows with new products, locations and increasing complexity, there is a need to further support decision making in the company with people data.
Your primary focus will be on analysing and interpreting data across the employee lifecycle, providing a holistic view from candidacy to alumni. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role: you will build and maintain the dashboards the People team and organization relies on, handle incoming analytics requests, and help co-create our People Analytics products alongside other analysts.
You will also act as the dedicated analytics point of contact for our Talent Acquisition team - partnering with TA Operations, recruiters and TA leadership to make hiring data reliable, visible and useful.
Reporting to the Director of People Strategy & Analytics, you will work within a team whose mandate is to accelerate people analytics at Vinted. You will work with data from various People systems such as Workday, Greenhouse and Peakon, presenting insights in a user-friendly way using Looker.
In this position, you’ll
- Build and maintain dashboards in Looker, and run analysis on data spanning the complete Employee Life Cycle ("From Hire to Retire")
- Act as the dedicated analytics partner to the Talent Acquisition team: funnel and pipeline reporting, time-to-hire, source effectiveness, offer and acceptance metrics, hiring plan tracking and other related matters
- Scope, prioritise and deliver analytics requests from stakeholders across Vinted - turning a vague question into a clear answer people can act on
- Co-create People Analytics products together with the Data Science & Analytics team
- Document datasets, metric definitions and dashboards so reporting stays consistent and self-serve wherever possible
- Grow the data-based culture at Vinted by making people data easier for everyone to find and use
About you
- BSc or MSc degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or a related field - or equivalent working experience
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar role, specialising in data analysis and reporting
- Strong Google Sheets skills - comfortable with lookups, pivots, and building something reliable enough that other people can use it
- Experience with data visualisation tools; Looker preferred, though Tableau and Power BI are applicable too
- Familiarity with SQL and data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake or similar); exposure to dbt or similar transformation tooling is a plus
- Comfortable with a steady flow of stakeholder requests, and inclined to clarify what's actually being asked before building
- Strong communication in English, including explaining analysis to people who don't work with data
- A careful approach to data, and the judgement to handle confidential employee information responsibly
- Knowledge of the HR domain, or a strong interest in developing skills in HR analytics
Nice-to-have:
- Hands-on experience with HR or People analytics
- Some previous knowledge of Talent Acquisition metrics and processes - recruitment funnels, sourcing channels, time-to-fill, candidate experience
- Experience building and maintaining dashboards people depend on, ideally in Looker (LookML, Explores)
- Familiarity with Workday (reporting, calculated fields) and/or Greenhouse
- Exposure to engagement survey data (Peakon or similar) or other employee listening tools
- App scripting in Google Sheets, or other lightweight automation of recurring reporting
