Information about the position 

We’re looking for an in-house EU Public Affairs Senior Manager with relevant work experience in EU policy and knowledge of the e-commerce or tech industry. As EU Public Affairs Senior Manager, you will work with the Director of Global Public Affairs and key cross-functional stakeholders to support our policy efforts in several areas of policy at the EU level and represent Vinted towards EU policy-makers and stakeholders. We expect you to leverage your past experiences working in EU policy (e.g. institutions, government, in-house, and/or consultancy firms) and to work across functions to execute a strategy and measure its success.

For this role, we are considering candidates based in Brussels.

In this position, you’ll 

  • Lead Vinted’s EU public policy work in Brussels
  • Monitor and assess public policy files and regulatory developments in Brussels that could impact Vinted
  • Drive and implement Vinted’s engagement plan on several files and areas  
  • Inform and collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and develop policy positions
  • Draft policy positions, answer public consultations and recommend external actions
  • Represent Vinted in meetings towards public decision-makers and stakeholders
  • Manage and leverage our participation and memberships in Trade associations
  • Participate on behalf of Vinted in events, conferences and panels
  • Collaborate closely with our business, legal, communications and sustainability teams

About you 

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience in EU policy, government, in-house, and/or consultancy firms
  • Solid experience in leading engagements in EU policy processes
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written, and any other European language is a plus
  • Strong understanding of the European Institutions and the policy debates related to tech, e-commerce and sustainability 
  • Experience in-house executing cross-functional projects
  • Ability to translate complex policy issues into suitable explanations for either technical or non-technical audiences and to communicate impactfully in person and writing
  • Autonomous, rigorous, curious and motivated
  • Team player with can-do attitude, willingness to learn and ability to adapt quickly and in a rapidly changing environment
