Information about the position 

In your new role, you will become part of the Financial Operations team which together with another team of  Business Analytics is part of the Vinted Go Finance and Business Analytics domain. Together the function is responsible for coordinating the growth strategy, financial planning, operational resource planning, performance measurement, and financial operations for Vinted Go.

The Financial Operations team is responsible for implementing and improving processes to achieve greater efficiency and accuracy, reduce errors and risks, and provide timely and accurate financial information to support better decision-making.

In this position, you’ll 

  • Be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing operations processes and systems to ensure a high level quality, control and efficiency of the tasks owned by the team;
  • Drive team goals, supervise and support team members on daily and monthly activities;
  • Systematically implement checks and analysis of transactions from 60+ Carriers, considering various perspectives, to make informed and timely decisions that contribute to better cost control and identify internal process or data inefficiencies;
  • Independently lead projects within the area or even in cross-function;
  • Analyse, check, and approve third-party vendor invoices through reconciliation, ensuring that all charges are accurate and in line with agreed-upon terms;
  • Prepare and send compensation reports to third-party vendors, ensuring that any agreed-upon compensations are recovered in a timely and accurate manner;
  • Collaborate with carriers to ensure that invoice specifications are correct and address any issues or discrepancies that arise;
  • Maintain and update price lists from both revenue and cost perspectives, ensuring that they are accurate and up-to-date;
  • Systematically implement checks and analysis of transactions from 60+ Carriers, considering various perspectives, to make informed and timely decisions that contribute to better cost control and identify internal process or data inefficiencies;
  • Independently lead projects within the area or even in cross-function;
  • Drive team goals, supervise and support team members on daily and monthly activities;
  • Ensure adherence to established processes, implement robust process controls, and maintain high-quality standards in financial operations;
  • Deal with group accounting and reporting teams on matters related to shipping process flows;
  • Utilise data analysis tools and techniques to identify discrepancies and inconsistencies in data, and propose corrective actions;
  • Continuously assess, refine, and automate existing processes to optimize efficiency and accuracy;
  • Support the creation of new processes required for business growth;
  • Actively support the work of team members.

About you

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Econometrics, Statistics, Applied  Mathematics, Economics, or a related field (equivalent working experience is also acceptable)
  • 3+ years of experience in finance, product analysis, or related fields
  • Experience in supervising and mentoring other team members is considered an advantage
  • Able to build dashboards and work with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau)
  • Proficiency in navigation and report creation in Looker, with foundational skills in data exploration and simple visualizations would be considered an advantage
  • Experience with Excel, Google Sheets, and SQL is a prerequisite
  • Experience in finance or accounting areas is preferred
  • Requires little supervision and strives to understand end-to-end processes
  • Experience in creating, implementing, and automating financial processes and controls
  • Ability to analyse and interpret large amounts of financial data to provide insights and recommendations
  • Self-starter, structured, and highly attentive to detail and accuracy
  • Continuous improvement mindset, with a desire to streamline processes and automate tasks where possible
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members, stakeholders, and management
  • Excellent at communicating in spoken and written English

Hybrid Work

The salary range for this position is € 2,875 - € 4,130 gross per month.
