Information about the position
As the Team Lead of Data Science & Analytics (DSA), Marketing Analytics Engineering, you’ll be leading a freshly established Marketing Analytics Engineering team. You and your team will take ownership of all of the analytical data that are used by Vinted’s Marketing teams to ensure the accuracy of reporting, and the efficiency and optimisation of the Marketing data model. You’ll work closely with fellow Marketing DSA leaders to ensure that data needs are met for the external (marketers and strategists) as well as internal (data and decision scientists) stakeholders. You’ll also closely collaborate with analytics and data engineers from other functions to ensure the optimal use of our data infrastructure. We expect that you will contribute significantly hands-on as well as by delegating efficiently. You’ll report to the Director of Data Science & Analytics, Marketing.
In this position, you’ll
- Manage a Talented Team: Unlock the full potential of five Analytics Engineers
- Proactively Plan the Roadmap: Always be on top of 3-12 months roadmap which ensures perfect alignment between stakeholders needs and other Marketing data teams’ work
- Own Marketing Data: Take full ownership of our diverse data pipelines combining data from more than a dozen of APIs, spreadsheet and CSV inputs, experiments, and internally generated tables (100+) while ensuring data compatibility and accuracy
- Scale Our Data Stack Efficiently: Manage the growth and increased complexity of marketing attribution models and pipelines, as well as ensure robust campaigns payback calculations
- Raise Our Data Quality Standards: Introduce the best Analytics Engineering practices and ensure they are used to improve current and future data product
- Co-create Effectively: Work with peer people leaders, analytics engineers, data and decision scientists within Marketing DSA, as well as front- and back-end engineers from Marketplace Product to ensure robust and accurate data pipelines
- Support Data Migration: Plan and execute Marketing data model migration to Cloud Platform
About you
- Proven experience in leading a team of data specialists (e.g. Analytics or Data Engineers, Data or Decision Scientists, Data Analysts) typically 1+ years of work experience of directly managing 3-5 reports
- Familiarity with data modelling, data access, and data storage techniques for analytical purposes
- Exceptional understanding of SQL and ability to write and evaluate highly performant code
- Experience with complex ROI or marketing efficiency performance data modelling and reporting
- Experience with dashboarding tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau, etc.)
- Proven experience in managing large and long-term data projects
- Outstanding business acumen, analytical skills, and long-term planning skills
- Well-organised with a collaborative attitude and a strong sense of ownership
- Solid knowledge of at least one statistical programming language (Python, R, Scala, Julia, etc.)
- Excellent English communication skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues
- Bonus: Experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g. Google BigQuery)
- Bonus: Experience with dbt, Fivetran, Airbyte, and/or related modern data stack tooling

The salary range for this position is € 69,000 - € 93,400 gross per year.
