Information about the position 

As Vinted’s new iOS Software Engineer, you’ll be joining the Mobile Technologies Engineering team. The purpose of this team is to provide iOS support to developers in the marketplace business unit, helping them to develop features faster. You will be working on architecture, iOS build system, observability tools and coming up with technical solutions for platform stability and scalability.
You’ll support our iOS Staff engineer and other platform engineers in executing critical platform projects, moving us closer to achieving our company mission.
The team comprises Mobile Developers (iOS and Android), and two Staff engineers(iOS and Android).

In this position, you’ll 

  • Work as a team to shape features that build the foundation upon which our developers build a world-class app
  • Collaborate with other developers through GitHub pull requests and code reviews
  • Use comprehensive testing methodologies, including unit tests, integration tests, snapshot tests, and UI tests
  • See your code affect 80+ million members
  • Work with iOS, Swift, and more

About You

  • Willing to learn and master new technologies and concepts
  • Deep understanding of key software engineering and iOS-specific principles and technologies: Software architecture and design patterns, Apple Human Interface Guidelines, and Apple Frameworks
  • Attention to detail
  • Understands trade-offs in solutions

Bonus points

  • Experienced with CI/CD systems utilising Fastlane
  • Familiar with writing Fitness Functions in the integration pipeline

Individual Learning Budget

Vinted will set aside a yearly sum equal to 10-13.2% of your annual salary to be invested in your continuous professional development. You’ll be able to take the initiative to use it for covering relevant learning activities that benefit your role.

Hybrid Work

We’ve adopted a hybrid workplace model where 2 days in office are recommended but not enforced. It’s up to you and your team to decide on the exact days you’ll spend working together in person.
