Information about the position
We’re looking for an in-house Public Affairs & Government Relations Specialist based in Brussels with relevant work experience in EU policy and knowledge of the tech and e-commerce sector. As Public Affairs & Government Relations Specialist, you will work directly with the EU Senior Manager of Public Affairs & Government Relations in Brussels and key cross-functional stakeholders to support our policy efforts. You will cover several policy areas and represent Vinted Group and its business units to EU policy-makers and stakeholders in Brussels. As part of your role, you will also work closely internally as a business partner across teams, building strong working relationships with key stakeholders. We expect you to leverage your past experience working in EU policy (e.g. institutions, government, in-house, and/or consultancy firms) and to work across functions to execute a strategy and measure its success.
For this role, we are considering candidates based in Brussels.
In this position, you’ll
- Support Vinted's EU public policy work in Brussels, reporting to the Senior Manager of EU Affairs
- Monitor and track public policy files and regulatory developments in Brussels relevant to Vinted
- Help implement Vinted's engagement plan across priority files and areas.
- Work closely with business, legal, communications and sustainability teams to gather input and develop policy positions
- Draft policy positions, consultation responses and briefing materials
- Support representation of Vinted in meetings with public decision-makers and stakeholders
- Help manage Vinted's participation in trade associations
About you
- Demonstrated experience in EU policy, government, in-house, and/or consultancy firms
- Good understanding of the EU legislative process, functioning of the European Institutions and policy debates in tech, and e-commerce
- Relevant experience in payments and/or logistics is considered a plus
- Fluent in English, spoken and written; another European language is a plus
- Strong writing skills, with the ability to turn complex policy topics into clear material for different audiences
- Autonomous, rigorous, curious and motivated.
- Comfortable working independently day-to-day, with good judgement on when to escalate
- Team player with a can-do attitude, eager to learn and adapt in a fast-moving environment
